Today has been semi productive. It started with a visit to the doctor, and then I thought I would get to pray with my group of moms. Ended up, they had to cancel due to a death in the family. I just didn't get a phone call. Which was ok! Then I went to a couple of consignment stores...which I wouldn't have done if I hadn't already been out. Marked a thing off my list too! I like doing that! Really good things at consignment. Excited about yard sales starting in the spring too! woohoo fun times!

My neice came over...without the baby Chesney and I didn't get to play with her.. :( Maybe next week. Convinced Nick to get his books...so I went with him to make sure he got them...then had to get a police report where he had a fender bender on Friday. All in a days work...or should I say all in a day off...Now to cook supper. I'm hungry too! Oh well, my blog isn't exciting as my friends are, but I'm still learning. God bless...and keep reading your bibles!

Blog blog blog! I guess I have nothing really to say! It's bloggin' cold outside. On the way to church the local bank said 9 degrees! I don't suppose that included the wind chill, or the white stuff that is currently on the ground. Global warming...hmmmm. I don't believe in it at this point....to cold to think it! Just plain cold. On Wednesday we are suppose to have a heat wave...high of 45 degrees. I guess we will see!

Happy January everyone!

Another long day at Kroger! Work, work, work and more work. I will work 4 hours tomorrow, but I really don't want to. It's inventory week, therefore, we will be crazy. Welcome to my world! It's called retail.

It's been an amusing day! Nick called in sick at work. They must not have believed him, cuz they told him to bring in a Dr.'s statement. That cost a bunch! Especially on Saturday. I don't think employers realize how much it costs for people to go to the dr.?\!!! Oh well, he went, and I bought two prescriptions and will prolly have to pay $100 for urgent care. Ughhh. Wonder if the boss will ask for another one. He hasn't missed much work and he's been there 3 years. Hope they are happy! I hope my boy feels better. He did say he wanted to go to church in the a.m. What a good boy we have raised :) He loves the Lord!

Watching football with my hubby and trying to relax today. Thank you Lord for your constant provision and care for all of my family! I am truley blessed and I love you for it!

For now, keep safe...remember God loves you or he wouldn't have made ya!

It has definitely been one of those days at old Kroger. It was senior day and also the weather predicted snow! So there you go! You know what kind of a day it has been. Then of course my daughter plans on driving back to Lexington when it is suppose to snow . She refused to go back today when it was clear. Now I will be pacing about her safe arrival back tomorrow. Lucky me. Lord please keep her safe and protect her from harm. Protect her from others that may not have any experience driving on snow and ice.

I am having a short blog tonight. Lots of things rolling around in my mind. It was a busy day and I think I am finally tired. God Bless everyone and be safe in this crazy weather. Until tomorrow. Good night~

Monday, January 4, 2010

Well here it is Monday! The first one of the new year and the new decade! Lots of things going on at work...displays to build, Christmas to clean-up and Valentines to put out. Did I mention that we have inventory too...next week! Uggghhhhhh. Too much to do and so little time.

On another note...my daughter is in Atlanta at Passion 2010, enjoying all those wonderful inspirational speakers such as Beth Moore, Andy Stanley and Hillsong (is doing some music)...I think I'm correct on that. Anyways, I hope the Lord blesses her socks off . Praying for my son, as he contemplates the military. Praying hard he will start liking school. Don't much agree with the present occupant who is serving as commander in chief. Drats that McCain/Palin didn't win the election. Oh well!

I will go for now...to enjoy the fire in the fireplace, the 20 degree weather and me nice and cozy with a blanket and my laptop. Lovin it! Blessings in Christ,
Karen

The weather is so cold here in BG, KY. The fire in the fireplace does make it nice and cozy for myself, my husband and our dog. After church, I came home and put on comfy clothes and sat down and started watching football. Our son is home and our daughter is at Passion 2010 in Atlanta. She got to see some awesome speakers today, but she is NOT happy about allllll the people there, long food lines and not enough sleep. Praying she will aclimate and enjoy her time there with her friends.

Now that Christmas and New Year's is over, it's time to get back to a normal work routine. Starting off, we are getting another store manager. She is an amazing woman who loves the Lord and Kroger too! Not too many of those in the workplace! My prayer is, she will be just as good as she was 5 years ago, when she left our store. Praying for 2010! Thank you Lord for another decade, new beginnings, and all your provision thus far! Happy 2010!

This is new to me...Wonder if I can continue...

This is a first for me and that's why I named this blog...Never thought I would do this! Funny that I would even do this. I have always wanted to journal but didn't like the writing part. Love the fact that I can type and not have to worry about reading my own handwriting. Anyways, I married and have two college-age adult children. I love them to pieces and love the fact that they are both christians. I love that, they both love Jesus! My one daughter is at Passion 2010 and I am prayin' that she is having a great time with friends. Updates on that will come as soon as I hear from her. My son, is a student who is interested in pursuing a military career. Not real happy about that, but he is going to have to make some decisions...hmmmm. Better get to praying for these things. Anyways, God Bless and have a good rest of the evening.
